Sharing Cordoba Pictures...
Just finished processing some pictures from Cordoba, Spain... Wanted to share here as a thanks to everyone for helping out in our trip...also to serve as a visual guide for the place... Will post other pictures from Seville/White Towns/Granada/Madrid/Segovia/Toledo as I process them in the next few days/weeks...
My wife is starting to type up the trip report so she will post it here as well... Thanks and enjoy! http://www.pbase.com/avsphotos/1_of_5_cordoba_2_days |
Forgot to mention...this was Dec 14 - Dec 15, 2008...

Those photos are amazing.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PICTURES!! Thanks for sharing.

Wow, vibhav,
These are truly gorgeous. What time of day was your Mezquita visit? When we've been there, it's always been so mobbed with crowds that it's hard to work around the crowds to photograph well. These photos are just amazing. I can hardly wait to see the rest! Thanks for sharing these with us, |
Thanks for posting. The Mezquita is one of the most amazing buildings I have ever visited.
|
Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments...we had enjoyed Cordoba quite a bit as well...
Maribel...We visited Mezquita in the morning around 9am...I don't know but it may just be our good luck and off-season that we did not see huge crowd... :-) Thanks again... |
IIRC, the Mezquita opens at 8am, but no tours can enter until after 10am. So the best time to visit is between 8-10 before the tour groups arrive.
vibhav - is it still free admission to the Mezquita before 10am? |
yes YK...I think you are correct that it is still free before 10am... I think we paid for the audio guide...
|
Hello vibhav, your photos are very beautiful and so interesting and artistic! Thank you for sharing them. I will especially look forward to your photos of Seville as I have a friend who was born and raised in Seville.
I have a question. How do they water all the terra cotta pots filled with the beautiful plants that are hanging quite high on the various walls? That has me curious. |
I wondered about watering those plants myself! :-)
|
They use a pole to hold a can. In late spring, you cannot almost see the twer with all the flowers.
Really good photos, thanks for sharing. |
josele, thanks for the information... :-)
