OK, BTilke, you are WRONG! I would like to hear your fav places near Marmottan as I like that area too but haven't done much there.

". . .my "secret" places are in the 16th arrond and nobody on Fodors seems to want to go there. . ."

BTilke, count your blessings! I still remember Ira freaking out=-o about his hotel - after he'd recommended a few times, then went to make a reservation - seems the prices had gone up! Not sure if it was related to his recs or just the "Euro-effect" in general...

Morgan, if that door was going to open, it showed absolutely no signs of it. I was trapped for a very long time before my wife and the two men from Britain pushed the door open. If it was going to rebound, it sure as h... was very very slow about it.

If you were in my wife's position, would you have waited around to see if the train was going to start with me in the door? I am talking about the door to the rail car.

If you were in my position would you have wanted people to wait to see if the door would reopen before the train started?? If it started, what would you do then? You would have been able to do nothing.

I have subway car doors close on my in the past and they rebound easily. These did not. If intentional, it must be a function of the Gallic urge to use the guillotine to lop off heads.
