Shannon to Dublin in 8 days - help with itinerary please!
My mid-20s daughter and I will be visiting Ireland for the first time in August. We land in Shannon at 9am and fly out of Dublin 8 days later. Planning to rent a car on arrival. Looking for best itinerary to include Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry...?Cork, ?Kilkenny ?others - really not sure what are the 'musts', and also what is realistic.
Neither of us have ever driven on the left - only planning to do driving during the day and will find an automatic to rent, since that is what we are most comfortable with.
We love history, local culture and food- we both love to travel and have done so fairly extensively, but never been to Ireland. Budget is somewhat flexible - also looking for suggestions on places to stay and restaurants/ pubs. Would prefer to keep most hotel bills under $250/night (we will share a room).
