viaggio_sempre Nov 14th, 2005 06:27 PM

My sister called from Maryland to tell us to watch it (we are in Washington). We'll be watching it tonight.

cigalechanta Nov 14th, 2005 06:39 PM

For those of you who missed it tonight.
My tv schedule has it listed again for Saturday at 10PM.

dina4 Nov 14th, 2005 09:18 PM

what is it??

Nutella Nov 16th, 2005 04:56 AM

dina, it's a lovely film about a young editor who is sent to italy to convince a famous reclusive author to write another book after not having written for many years. it has a little bit of everything - comedy, inspiration, love... and beautiful scenery. i watched it two nights in a row, and would recommend it!

you might want to get another opinion though, i also loved the movie under the tuscan sun LOL

viaggio_sempre Nov 16th, 2005 05:14 AM

I'm a guy, and I liked it. It didn't appear to me, to be a "chick flick". I have not seen a movie set in Italy that I have not enjoyed, though.

bear900 Nov 16th, 2005 07:18 AM

Another guy vote. Not to mention that Claire Forlani, I mean the great Italian scenery was just mesmerizing! It’s on again Saturday, huh? hmmm….

It was one of those remote-control moments where I was flicking through trying to find something interesting when the wifey said, “Hold it right there!” Dang it all! I tried my best to look miserable at first, but anyone who likes travel will enjoy it from the get-go. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

Nutella Nov 16th, 2005 11:18 AM

LOL i didnt mean to imply that it was a chick flick. in any case i'm glad you guys liked it!

tondalaya Nov 16th, 2005 04:49 PM

Thanks, I'll watch it on Saturday.

dina4 Nov 16th, 2005 08:06 PM

oh, I definitely want to see it.
Thanks.
And, Nutella, I loved Under the Tuscan Sun, too. How could you not?

What station was in on and will 10:00 PM on Saturday be EST or Central?

azure0327 Nov 17th, 2005 06:33 AM

On ABC Family, 10 pm Eastern

bear900 Nov 17th, 2005 09:07 AM

In all seriousness (ahem) what appealed to me were scenes such as when Harvey Keitel who plays a writer connives with his local priest and drinking buddy to “tie one on” with the visiting young editor. Adds new meaning to the phrase “gotcha”!

Did my best not to give anything away….

Tiff Nov 17th, 2005 09:21 AM

Cool. I placed a reminder to watch it before and missed it, so I'll tape it this weekend.

I was intrigued because of Italy and because of Claire Forlani, she is one of my favs. For those who like her, see "Meet Joe Black". Great movie.

To cigalechanta ~ I love that IMBD site, it feeds my need for a behind the scenes look at my fav movies!
