Thanks for sharing - may I ask what camera you use? I am considering upgrading my own. I was in Seville last year and I can tell you used a camera superior to my current one!

I have a Canon EOS 540D. It's their entry level digital SLR camera (their current model is the EOS 550D)

It does the job nicely

What lens did you use for the shots of the river?

Thanks these are incredible. Makes me even more determined to return to Spain. I loved the photo of the Flamenco dancer. Doesn't matter how good the camera, it's the artistic eye behind the lens

Hi Colon, great pics, thanks!

I was in Seville many years ago during Holy Week – spectacular.

Loved the pic of the hanging meat – the Spaniards really love their fancy ham, eh?

Those were terrific. How many days were you in Seville? I notice some--not too many--people in your photos of the city. Were you shooting mostly in the early mornings or was it not that mobbed with tourists?

Thank you everyone for your kind words.

I visited mid-May and stayed for 4 nights. May seemed to be a good time to visit. The weather was good, there was some rain but it didn't last long, it was mostly warm sun and clear blue skies but also not too hot. The streets weren't flooded with tourists nor were they empty. A good balance.

I have two lenses (18-55mm and a 55mm-250mm) both are just the standard issue when you buy the camera at most retailers offering a "twin lens deal" deal.

Hi Colin

Your pictures are superb and bring back very happy memories for us. We visited this amazing city a few years ago during the Feria. If you ever do go back try and visit during that week because the festival colours are amazing and for someone with an eye for a great picture you'd have a ball!

Your pictures of the townhouses across the river and the bullring...wow

Thanks!

joe

Thanks for taking the time to reply Joe!
I'm glad you liked the photos.

I will certainly return to Seville one day. We came away with nothing but warm and happy vibes about the city.

And yes I will definitely time my visit next time to coincide with a festival.
