Seville Hotels
 

We are looking for some suggestions for Seville hotels in mid-October. We usually like to be in the central area near the sites. Is the Santa Cruz area the desirable area to be in for sightseeing. We saw a couple of hotels of interest. The Corregidor and the Cervantes. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

We were there two years ago and stayed at Casas de la Juderia. Can't recommend it more for the hotel and location in Santa Cruz.

Many of the rooms are very different as the hotel is made up of several buildings surrounding courtyards and fountains.

We were in room 30 that turned out to be a suite with a walkin closet. It had windows in two directions.
Although I didn't see the inside of room 29, it had a patio. Both rooms recommended by Maribel.

The breakfast was quite expensive so we passed on it. The hotel is down a narrow laneway and opens to a square with a bunch of restaurants. excellent for breakfast.

In Seville the Amadeus is a wonderful small hotel. I agree with Myer, above, that the rooms in the Casas Juderia are all different. The two we have experienced in Casas Juderia were, to put it nicely "uneven". I will not stay there again.

I stayed in the Santa Cruz area and liked it a lot. It's certainly not the only place to stay in Seville, though. I stayed in the Hotel Amadeus and it was okay, but it is a budget hotel, and it depends what you are looking for or expecting or want to spend. I would not characterize it as "wonderful", but it is fine for its level (which I think is a two-star, that is what was on the sign outside it).
