Seville, good, affordable for three

any recommendations on hotels in Seville, walking distance from major activities?
Thanks

I'm not sure what you consider "affordable," but we stayed at a pretty good (not great, but good) hotel called Fernando III. The location was great--right outside the Barrio Santa Cruz and walking distance to most major cites. The staff were very helpful--recommended Los Gallos for flameco (which my Spanish teacher who is from Seville also recommended). I think we paid around 180E, but we were there at Easter, so I think it's less at other times.

You might check out a website recommended here for other possibilities--it's BANCOTEL.com.

Let us know what you decide and also if you find good restaurants.

How about Simon Hotel?
It is under 100 euros and it looks close to all landmarks. They have suites too.
We have reservations there so I hope this is a good place.

Anita -

I'm afraid you haven't received more responses because your question is very general. "Affordable" means different things to different people. If you text search "seville and hotel" and/or "sevilla and hotel" you will find many recommendations here at various price ranges, from people with much knowledge of Spain. You might also look at the Rants and Raves section of this site, and go through some guidebooks to get ideas of places that sound good to you, and text search for those hotel names.

We stayed in a triple room at Hosteria del laurel in September. I think we paid around 90 Euros. The location was great - the room was OK nothing fancy but very comfortable. It looks very charming from the outside and located in a nice square with lots of restaurants close by. There's a restaurant downstairs that's supposed to be very good -- we only had breakfas so can't speak for anything else.

Started thinking about what we paid at Hosteria del Laurel and realized that we stayed in the triple room but there were only two of us so with three people it would be more. Here's their web site with pricing: http://www.sol.com/hotel/hosteria-laurel/index.htm
