Seville experts - Please help!
 

We are planning a side trip to Seville durring Holy Week next April. We can only stay 2 days.

The problem is that all the hotels I have contacted have 3 or 4 nigh minimum stays for Holy Week. I understand that Holy Week is high-high season for Seville.

Does anyone know of any decent hotels somewhat close to city center that does not have a min stay requirement for Holy Week?

I stayed at the Melia Sevilla, which is close to the train station, rather than the historic quarter, but you can get to the center. It's a business hotel, and simply huge, and I'd be surprised if they have minimum stays, even during Easter week.

I used to stay at the Hotel Alcora. This is across the river but they give a free shuttle bus direct to the center of Sevilla.

This is a very nice hotel. I was there as a business person, so I managed to arrange a discount. Try to push them for cheaper rates-find some reason they should give you a low-ball price. The breakfast is good but if you can giveup this for a cheaper room, that's a good choice. You can find cheap breakfasts in Sevilla.

I think lots of hotels do not have a week's stay requirement during holy week.

I easily got reservations on the online booking sites for two days during that week at the Hotel Becquer and Best Western Cervantes, for example. Maybe it depends on the days you want, as I tried the beginning of the week, but neither of them had a 3-4 day min. stay requirement, and they are both fairly central. The Becquer wasn't even that expensive.

Casa de la Juderia didn't say anything about a 3-4 night minimum and accepted my resrvation for two days, also, although its booking site wasn't quite as clear a the other two, as you did have to email for the confirmation.

I'm sure there are plenty of others, maybe the larger hotels would be more likely than real small budget places to not have minimums.

We stayed at Petit Palace Santa Cruz. We actually got it through Hotels.com. We paid $140 a night, but that was 2 years ago. Very clean minimalist hotel. It is very close to the Cathedral, but we kept getting lost. Seville is a very hard place to manuever/walk. The city map is basically useless, and this is coming for somebody who wanted to be a cartographer when she grew up. They most definitely have siestas there. Have fun!

We had the same problems with finding a hotel in Sevilla.

We ended up in nearby Carmona and found this town very charming and much more attractive than over-touristy Sevilla. The holy week processions in Carmona were truly authentic and much better than in Sevilla.

We stayed in a beautiful hotel with quite reasonable rates:
