Seville apt location questions

We (me, Dh and Sweet mother) have just decided to stay a week in Seville over the New Year this upcoming year. I have found two apartments (a terrace or balcony is a requirement) and I am wondering if anyone would mind to take a look and comment on the location. I am very early in my research on Seville and I have heard that we want to be near the Jewish Quarter (Santa Cruz)?? We want to be able to walk to most tourist things, find a grocery store and eat at lots of local places. We do not require lots of nighttime bar hopping and music like that. Thanks in advance.

Some of the best apartments in Sevilla are managed by Spain Select (http://sevilla.spain-select.com/en_US). You should compare what they have to offer to anything else that's out there.

Thank you Robert! I will check them out right away.

Those are a bit farther out than might be ideal, but not bad. You can walk to most things, but you will be walking a lot, hope you realize that. I did stay in the Santa Cruz quarter and walked everywhere (took the bus a few times) but that was a lot of walking when I went down to the river or across it and the locations of these places you list are farther out than Santa Cruz by a bit. But you can tell that from a map. I think they've had a lot of urban renewal around the plaza de la Encarnacion in the last decade or so.

The second one is a little closer in and should be more convenient, I think. I don't think you can get to the cathedral in 5 minutes from there myself unless you almost run, but it's not too far. It may be about 6 blocks.

I hope you understand it won't be hot in Seville around New Years, if that's why you want the terrace, to sit out on. It may be around 50-55F during the day and down to 40 at night. I was there in March and it was pretty cold and rainy a lot, although that may have been a fluke. But I had to wear boots at night and a waterproof jacket with lining to be warm enough.

Thank you Christina! We realize the temperature won't be "sunning" weather, but I have to be able to step outside.haha

OK Robert, per your recommendation I went to the site you recommended and was so impressed! I have this one on hold.

What do you think? Can anyone comment on the location or the property? Thanks! I am narrowing the place down.
