It is a fabulous property, some creases need ironing out, but without doubt the best in the city. See my recent (June) trip report on my stay there.

We really enjoyed Las Casas de la Juderia. Recently renovated bathrooms which were spacious as well as the bedroom. Great location and lots of charm.

I have to vote for Amadeus. But I like small charming hotels not large imposing ones.

I'd echo choice of Las Casas de la Juderia. Very charming and atmospheric and in good location for seeing the city on foot.

Hi Small,

I travelled to Seville last month and I stayed at a new hotel : Hotel Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla, and it was really great!
The hotel is set beside the Macarena Church (like the song Macarena, hahaha!!) and you only need some minutes to get to Santa Cruz Quarter.
But what I loved the most was the hotel itself. It has only 15 rooms so the service is very personalized. The decoration inspired in the Seville of AL Andalus with furniture brought from Morrocco. And there is even a legend about the building!!!! The friendly staff , explained to me it is said that the building was built on the same place where the King Almutamid met with his lover, the slave Rumaikiya.
Everything in this hotel is fantastic, even the food was great. You can have delicius sevillian tapas on the roof terrace and the beautiful Jaima, thought I was in morocco!!
Oh, and all the furniture of the hotel can be bought. I bought a beautiful perfume jar for my mother.
hope this helps you.

There is no doubt that the Hotel Alfonso XIII is the best. The Royal
Family lodged guests there when their
oldest daughter was married about 10?
years ago. Totally out of my price range but the hotel with pedigree.

I think about every source agress it is the Alfonso. There aren't a lot of top hotels there. I've stayed at the Amadeus and there isn't any way that is the best hotel in Seville, although it's a pleasant 2* B&B type place.

It may not be the biggest or grandest hotel but i just loved the hotel amadeus. it was charming and romantic. yet modern enough-- with an elevator! i loved the andalucian tiles at the foyer. also the rooftop terrace where we would have a drink while watching the sun set. i miss seville!

We stayed at Las Casas de la Juderia and it's in a great location. Excellent hotel. Skipped their over-priced breakfast and ate in the little Sq directly in front of the hotel.

The best!?! Definitely the Hotel Alfonso XIII.

We just returned from Seville, among other places, and stayed three nights at the Alfonso. If you can afford it, and can get a discount, I agree that it has one of the best, if not THE best location in the city for seeing the major site(s) which will undoubtedly turn out to be the cathedral, the cathedral, the cathedral, and the cathedral!

We had a so-called "grand deluxe" room which was decorated in such an over-the-top style that the room alone was memorable.
