Sevilla - Semester abroad - Los Remedios
 

My daughter is leaving at the end of the month to attend classes in the University of Sevilla. She just found out that her housing assignment is in Los Remedios. I have been to Sevilla but am not familiar with that neighborhood. Can anyone tell me about it?
Recommendations for restaurants, clubs or shopping would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you can get over there also while DD is there. It is a wonderful experience to stay in an area where the person you are visiting is familiar and has local experiences!! Salamanca was available for me and I got to go 2 times while my DD was there!! A wow experience!!

amer_can - I am not sure if we will be able to visit DD. DS and I spent part of our vacation in Sevilla 2 years ago and loved it there. DH is getting interested in going now that DD is leaving soon, we will all miss her a lot. It would be great to go so we will see.

Yes, it would be great..I had such a good time while visiting and used the hours she was in class to wander on my own..becoming acquainted in a small bar across the calle from the school, so much so that they held a stool for me and had my rose(needs an accent mark) y tapa ready when they saw me coming in the door to wait for class to dismiss. Such a treat!! Weekends were crusing the back roads time and time well spent. Go for it!!
