Sevilla restaurants
Hello,
I'll be in Sevilla for 3 days in a couple of weeks and would appreciate any restaurant recommendations you can offer. I was in Sevilla many years ago so my knowledge of restaurants is very stale! Thank you! |
Take a look at Azahar's recommendations by district/barrio. She lives in Sevilla and knows what she's talking about: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletapas/restaurants/
Everytime in Sevilla, I must always have the delicious lunchtime paella at El Cairo. Also great local atmosphere: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...2/03/el-cairo/ For a traditional and no fuss restaurant, I love Bodegas Diaz Salazar from 1908: http://www.bodegasdiazsalazar.com/ http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...Andalucia.html And very popular Eslava is close to a must: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletapas/2008/02/eslava/ |
Great information, kimhe! Looking forward to trying some of these places in our upcoming trip!
|
Have you checked Maribel's Sevilla guide? She includes reviews of Egaña-Oriza, Salvador Rojo, Az-Zat (tapas), La Taberna del Alabadero, Abantal (one star), Casa Robles and others you might enjoy.
|
If you're looking for a more informal place, Bodega Santa Cruz is always fun, with the local/tourists and your bill on the bar in chalk(always amazing the staff remember who is whose).
|
Thank you so much, I will look at all of those!

... and when I speak of the "paella" at El Cairo, I'm reffering to the "arroz" (rice) tapa in the bar. Several other delicious and typical tapas here as well; salmorejo, merluza rellena de gambas, rabo de toro etc. etc. Always in the bar, have never sat down for a meal here.
