Love all the information and detail!
Where did you start your hike of the Pink Granite Coast? We plan to spend some time there while we are in Dinan.
Also, we're staying in the 11th in Paris and so Le Chemise sounds great. Thanks for the tip.

Irishface:
We initially parked our car about a block away from rental place. we could not for the life of us figure out where to return the car. The girl finally had to walk outside with us and show us the entrance for returning the car.
indyhiker:
We used Europcar. I think my husband always uses them. They periodically have great deals. We were upgraded by the rental car place in Caen and I think my DH said we only paid about $16 a day!
Modeen14:
I cant remember wehre we started the walk, but will look back at my notes and the greenguide. I'll get back to you.
TDudette:
Yes, there was a lift. I think it was the 3rd or 4th floor. I think we paid about 200 EU a night. Not inexpensive but about what you pay for a small hotel room and the location was great. We're staying in an apartment off of rue Grenata in September. I was really torn between that or the upper 3rd/11th, but our place in September have a huge terrace. Hopefully the weather will be good.

Gald to hear it! Staying there, in our estimation, made us really get a great feel for the coastal area of Normandy and the D-Day experience. It is very close to Omaha beach and you just drive a little country road to get from one d-day site to another. There are several restaurants besides the ones we went to. We did enjoy Fleur de Sel ( went there twice) and Bistro d'a Cote. So nice to walk down the quay and be right there. Also, having an apartment allws for dinner in a few nights.
There are several other apartments for rent in he town. We picked this one due to availability and location. Are you staying in an apartment or hotel?

I would like a place with a kitchen but can't seem to find one. I think we may book the Hotel Ibis which is on the water and has good reviews and not too expensive. It looks like a wonderful area. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations.
