September busy month?
My husband and I are thinking about doing a air/car and B&B in September. Is this busy season? We got a good price from a tour company called Kenny Tours. Has anyone ever heard of them? Good/Bad? I think the price we have gotten is good it will cost us $599pp for 6 nights leaving from Baltimore. Is this a good price? I tried putting together the same package and could'nt even get close to that price. That is why we are a nervous about using a company that we have never heard of before because the price seems so good. Before anyone says anything we dont mind using the voucher system because I am kind of a planner anyways so we will probably book most of our B&B's ahead of time.

Actually September is a very quiet month in Yugoslavia. I assume that is where you are talking about, since nowhere, not even in your title or your entire post, did you think to mention where the hell you are talking about!

Please don't use the excuse that you posted this under a particular country, since as you know if you have ever even browsed this site, the questions are not grouped by country.
|
are you talking about Ireland?

just a guess.

sounds like a decent fare - is that on Aer Lingus?
|
Yes, she posted it under Ireland.

You have to say that somwhere, jen. The vast majority of us browse the "whole board" and can't tell for a second if you posted under a specific country.

I could tell simply be searching on "Ireland", mostly because Beth suggested it.

Best wishes,

Rex
|
Rex,

how did you do that? I thought the search function was not indexed recently?

I just took a guess cuz Aer Lingus goes out of Ballmer and the tour co. sounds Irish - plus the B&B voucher thing is big with traveling to Ireland it seems.

Jen - my guess is September won't be too busy and will get rainier/cooler as the month goes on. 599 incl airfare is indeed quite cheap - my May/June trip cost nearly 700 JUST for airfare. so jump on it..

:-)
|
ah ha! you are so right. it worked.

hey, here is a Q for ya - how many of you actually put it under the correct country heading, versus just the general heading?

I admit I never choose a country..

|
Yes, beth, as you see the country "listings" are always up to date.

I don't start a new post all that often, and when I do it frequently falls under more than one country - - like my post tonight about the NYTimes and Gorges du Verdon, Ravenna, Dublin and Iceland. I realize that I can and should use the control key and list it under those individual countries repsectively - - but I plead guilty to being too lazy.

But when I do post for something new that applies to just one country - - I do choose that country.
|
It's a shame that, even though Beth made a mistake and didn't state which country she was interested in that people like the "faceless coward" XXX had to use the kind of language he did to point out her mistake. Interpersonal communication skills are apparently quite difficult to find.

Bill
|
"what the hell" is considered offensive language? Where were you raised? In a convent?
|
beth didn't make the mistake, Jen did - I was just trying to be helpful, honest!

but thanks for sticking up for someone!

:-)
|
OOPS SORRY. Yes this is Ireland.
|
B&B vouchers are a can of worms. Find out everything about them before buying. Be warned.
|
beth do you alwayws refer to yourself in the third person??
|
Jen,
I think it would help if we knew from your title what city or country you were inquiring about.??
|
xx - all the time, just like Napoleon or that guy on Seinfeld!

do you always call yourself xx? doesn't that cause confusion around tax time?

:-)~
Before you send any money, check them out with the Irish Tourist Board.
|
jen- where did you hear about them and find out about the 599 per person tour? I did a query under their name and could only find a phone number with no other information about them. Did you call them or see an ad somewhere and do they have a website that you are aware of? If it is legit then I would say it is a really good deal because I have looked at flying over in September and just the airfare was more than that. What airline are they using and what airport would you fly into? Thanks in advance for the info.

There web site is Kenny-tours.com and they have some infomation on there site. I saw there ad in the local newspaper. There phone number is 800-648-1492. Does anyone know the current exchange rate with Euros?
