September

We will be in Rome the last week of September. Does Sept. stay as hot as apparently Aug. is? Do we really need a/c in our room? Type of clothing? We have never been overseas - any special problems we should look out for? Thanks in advance.

I was there last Sept. and coming from Texas, it was not HOT, it was warm. We did use A/C in our hotel at night, but we run our A/C at home almost year-round. I wore pants and short sleeved shirts and was not too hot. Be careful when wearing sleeveless shirts as you will not be allowed into some of the museums, vatican, sights, etc. Many women carried a shaw and put it on before entering. Also it is very sunny, take sunglasses and an umbrella.

I was in Rome the first week in October; it was not all that hot, and we had no air-conditioning.
The sun was blindingly bright, though; I almost never removed my sunglasses. But my eyes are sensitive, I wear shades year-round in Seattle! We wore long pants/short sleeves, lightweight synthetic clothing and were comfortable.

I was in Rome the first of October and it was 88 degrees. For me that was hot, but then I am not from TExas either.

I was in Rome at the beginning of October. It was hot. However, I was only in my room in the early morning and late evening, so I didn't really need A/C. Definitely dress for summer weather.
