We sent 3 to our kids in 1998 (from Rome), and they have never received them.
We've sent cards from Italy since that time, and they have all been received. Somehow, we don't think those original ones are ever going to make it. :) |
If you are in Saint Peter you can mail the post cards from there.

I was told that when mailing from the Vatican, you must use Vatican postage, not Italian. I'm not sure if that's accurate, but I have mailed postcards from the Vatican with some arriving in a few days and others in two months.

Hello! My husband and I were in Italy from 9/18 to 10/4/2016 and I mailed 12 postcards to the United States from Rome, Italy on 9/28/2016. As of today, my friends and family still haven't received them. I used the Poste Italiane post office in the Roma Termini. After reading the posts above, I should have used the Vatican Post Office. :(
