Senior Discount National Express

Is it possible to get the senior discount on National Express even though not a U.K. citizen? Is it available to anyone over 60? Looking at London to Stansted transportation options. It looks like there is a 50% discount. Is that right? Thanks.

My mom got it and she was not UK citizen. But I don't think anyone asked me.

I assume you are referring to their coach fares. There is nothing on their website that says it's restricted to UK citizens. Just says you must show proof of age when requested by the driver. 50% discount at off-peak times; up to 30% discount at peak times.

Yes, coach fare. Should have mentioned this. This will help the budget a bit. Thanks lincasanova and walkabout!

It's illegal in Britain to restrict ANYTHING (except liabilty to conscription and jury service) to UK citizens.Even voting, serving in the miltary or being in Parliament.

Concessions of any kind are typically limited to anyone fitting the bill, to residents, or to EU and/or Commonwealth citizens. But never to Britons.
