Senior Cycling in the Luberon area of Provence
A short report on a week's cycling with rented bikes in fine weather
http://andrewchum.blogspot.co.uk/ |
nice report, Andrew.
how did you find out about the route and the cycle hire? |
I enjoyed your writing style.
Your ride sounds beautiful yet so hard (not for you but for me). Thanks for sharing. |
www.veloloisirluberon.com was the start point; it has a diagram of the elevations and a list of cycle rental shops. They can arrange bag transfers ( though we carried ours) and one way rentals.
You can look out for voies vertes which are traffic free tracks. Google France will find them for you. It is pretty straightforward once you remember that Sunday and Monday most commerces are closed. |
thanks, andrew. it looks a bit strenuous for me, but I can dream!
|
I'm out of breath just thinking about it. Great scenery!
|
I love thia report having been to all the places but not on bikes, I also snapped a photo of the Cafe de France where we stopped for
a Pastis. |
