Sending money to Greece

Not really a travel question but I thought maybe someone knows something about sending money to Greece. There seems to be different companies online that do this but I'm not sure how secure or trustworthy they may be.

I've used xe.com and trsnsferwise in the past with no problems, but not to Greece. If it's a contribution or donation to a good cause, there is a European NGO that has been a people-to-people help organization.

I can't tell where you're from.

If you're from the Europe in the Euro zone a SEPA transfer from your bank is easy and usually free or close to it.

If not you can have your bank do a transfer but it'll cost.

I found that my (US) bank could send money via Western Union for MUCH less than a bank transfer.

Sign up for PayPal. Have the receiving party do the same. It's easy and inexpensive.

Recently used xe.com -- thanks to Michael's posts here! -- and had perfect transactions for UK transfers.

Thanks, Michael!
