Self Service Laundry in Norway

Going on Scandinavian Trip for three weeks (starting and ending in Copenhagen). Would like to know if anyone knows if there are many self service laundries in Norway. I know this is an odd question, but I prefer to do my own laundry as to having it done in the hotels we are staying in.

There are a few but they are thin on the ground - if you do a search on places you will be staying you should find one. Certainly in Oslo there are a few.

It's not an odd question at all, laundry is a fact of life. Often, when traveling, we stay in guesthouses and they will often do a small load for you. It's better than a hotel, imo, less chance that they will lose anything.
I also rely on the good old ziplock bag washing method, but not great for heavier items but can work.

Thank you both for your information. I will research more on the places we will be stopping. Going at the end of this month and can't wait! :)

I might contact the places you are staying and ask if they can advise you. If they live in the area they can give you helpful advice. Norway is very expensive so I'd try to find out what it will cost too.

Have been in contact with some of the places we are staying, and I'm not having much luck :( I guess I will be doing a bit of sink washing and hanging. Thanks again for your input.

Have you googled "laundry Oslo", or wherever you are staying? I just got a long list of OSLO laundromats, with maps and some with websites. We also did laundry in Beitostolen and Stavanger.

They list prices which I don't think are expensive, they also have an email where you ask if they have branches in other cities.

Travelnana word to the wise ... take lots of money!!

Actually Bergen, were my daughter and her family recently lived for 2 yrs and where I was able to visit a couple of times...I found that it is pretty much a paper/currency-less area. I never changed money once. I just used a US Visa card for every single purchase. This gives you the best exchange rate as well.
