Self Catering near Callander

Anyone have information on an apartment in or near Callandaer for 4 people we could get for maybe 4 nights in June 2011?

I know of several nice cottages/flats in/near Callander, Aberfoyle, the Lake of Menteith etc -- however they all require full week rentals except in the off season.

Instead of hunting for the one or two (or few) that allow short breaks, my suggestion would be to contact the Callander TIC by phone (preferably) or by e-mail and ask them if they know of any self catering properties that would work.

Oh - another place to contact is Forest Hills http://www.macdonaldhotels.co.uk/foresthills/

It is a hotel but has 65 very nice condos on the shore of Loch Ard. Not sure if they rent by the day- they used to only do full weeks but I think that changed a couple of years ago.

They have 2 and 3 bdrm, 2 and 3 bath, full kitchens, balconies, etc.

for a full week, saturday to saturday, we stayed at the LENY LODGE in Callander. Excellent. but i believe they only do full weeks.

I have 5 nights in Scotland. If you wanted to spend a day in Edinburgh, would you commute from your self-catering or just stay a night in the city?
