Contact British Tourist Authority, 1-800-462-2748. They have 70 page booklet listing all flats/apts. and their amenities. Wonderful source for what you are looking for.
Some good web sites for B & B's are:
www.s-h-systems.co.uk
www.theaa.co.uk (click on Hotels)
www.visitus.co.uk
www.yahoo.co.uk/travelaccomodation/england
I used the first 2 and found a lot of B & B in North Wales - some with pictures - many had email address or FAX numbers. Got a friendly response from all I contacted.

If you want a unique place to stay, try the Landmark Trust. They buy and renovate historic or interesting properties and rent them out. If you like forts, castles, old cottages or a water tower, try them. In the US you can call (802) 254-6868 and get the catalog which lists all properties. It costs $19.50. In UK they cost 8.50 pounds and the number is (016280 825925. Linens are furnished. The catalog has floor plans and pictures and is worth the price just to read.
Have fun
HankH
