I apologize, it is Urgup, Cappadocia, Turkey. I thought I posted this in the Turkey site?

You DID post it on "the Turkey forum" - - but that is a "virtual place" only, created by clicking on Turkey in that little box of the righthand corner. EVERY post here also goes into "the Europe forum", which is the only way that 90+% of "us" ever look at this website.

Best wishes,

Rex

Hi CCC,

I stayed at this hotel overnight last December. Aside from the fact that my room was FREEZING cold, it was great.

My room was large, very nicely furnished with a great attention to detail, large marble bath with jacuzzi, armoire, sitting area, desk. I got to tour many of the rooms, and they are all different - some a little fancier than others, but all seemed spacious and well appointed.

Breakfast included handmade gozleme made by a local lady, as well as the traditional Turkish breakfast items.

I got a good rate because it was off season, and I was literally their only guest the night I stayed. Generally, the rooms are on the pricey side for Urgup. One other possibly negative aspect is that the rooms do not have views of the valley like some other hotels in the area. Most rooms have views of the interior courtyard, which is still pretty, and only limited exterior views.

Overall, I would recommend it. BTW, they have a carpet shop too (surprise, surprise :)
