Seine River tour/ bateaux mouche, evening recommendations?

Hi all fellow fodorites! I am planning a trip Sep 22 w/ 2 girlfriends and want to do the "best" evening bateaux mouche tour, $$$ is not an issue (we could do dinner etc) , although I would like to not spend euros on something that is not worth the price. I appreciate your input and help, based on your prior experience...I did post a prior question but based on my inexperience on this forum, realised that I may not have titled it in the best way! Merci!

lauriew1234: This is the 5th posting of your question. Well, I guess one doesn't count since it was on the USA forum. But your very first one from a couple of days ago got several responses. Click on your name to bring up all your threads

I am so a neophyte here , apologise, I did rephrase my question ( am an ebay veteran) to see if I could get a broader response ... so sorry for the multiples ! Will do better bext time.....appreciate feedback :)

Not to worry - everyone has to learn how the site works.

The title on your first thread was just fine - so for future reference, if you wanted to add more info to it or refine your question all you need to do is open that thread and post a new entry to it.

for what its worth - I wouldn't do a bateaux mouche. I prefer the Vedettes from Pont Neuf . . . .

What is the difference between bateaux mouche and the Vedettes from Pont Neuf?

There are four firms offering similar sightseeing cruises in Paris from different departure points. Bateaux Mouches has the biggest vessels, carrying 1000 or more passengers; they are thus very impersonal in my opinion. Vedettes du Pont Neuf is a much smaller firm and generally seems much more friendly. The web sites are:
www.bateaux-mouches.fr
www.bateauxparisiens.com
www.vedettesdupontneuf.com
www.vedettesdeparis.com
