Well yes it could be that - it happened on both my office email and my home email- so it appears that I will not be able to get in touch with them by internet.

BillT Mar 20th, 2007 09:25 AM

I can understand why I might not be able to receive messages if its a spam filter issue but sending out an email and getting an undeliverable message - that seems odd!

BillT - did you ever receive your tickets via email? I was just about to order some for the 4 euro off and saw your post.

It looks like all of these boats
are enclosed. Does it just appear that way. We would like to take a night time cruise and be outside on a "deck".
Does this exist?

Vedettes de Paris (from bottom of Eiffel Tower) is basically all open deck. They don't use any lights either. I can recommend them.

Hi YGG - The boats do all look like that on the website but each we have taken the tour we have been outside. I should recall (but I don't) whether there was an inside part too.
It seems to me that they were always wide open but I guess at cooler times they couldn't.

I'll be in Paris in May and would like to take both the cruise and the balloon ride. Their website notes discounts for both, but I don't see a coupon to print out. What am I missing?

MaureenB Mar 26th, 2007 11:14 AM

When we took the inexpensive Batobus, it had a nice glass-covered top, with comfortable plastic two-by seating, and a very small open deck on the back. I remember it being a very dark and pretty night, with the buildings and bridges lit up, but not by boat lights.

For discount ticket:

Click on the actual ticket on right and a window should open if you don't have too many filters on
Fill in number and print

OK. Be honest. I can take it. Would the presence of two children (ages 6 and 7) on the 9 pm Seine boat cruise be ...oh...frowned upon by the other cruise goers? ;;)

luvtotravel Mar 26th, 2007 03:27 PM

I'm not looking to purchase a ticket at this point. I thought I could print out a discount coupon and take it with me. Is that not the case?

robjame Mar 26th, 2007 03:29 PM

NThea - I can tell you without a doubt there would be no problem at all. Last time we were on with a group of teenage school kids who were having a great time, standing at the bow, doing the Titanic thing. We had our picnic while they sneaked smokes so the chaperone wouldn't see. It was a hoot.
Now I don't know what it would be like in the summer - this was in May/June and the cruise was not nearly full.
It is very casual on the non-dinner cruises - fiberglass chairs, steel hull - don't expect luxury.

robjame, thanks. I was able to print off the discount coupon for the cruise. Now I need to figure out how to get the discount coupon for the hot air balloon ride.

luv - you know that you are dealing with two different companies?
vedettes de pont neuf - the company I gave you the coupon for
vedettes de paris - sightseeing and balloon ride > discount for boat ride if you include aquarium as well as discount for balloon
... for vedettes de Paris to get the specials it seems you have to subscribe to their newsletter and they will send it to you.
I am not impressed with the look of the vedettes de paris boat if it is the one in the picture on their website...

rkkwan Mar 26th, 2007 05:45 PM

Yes, the Vedette de Paris boat I was on is the same type on their website. Personally, I don't care how it looks like. I'm looking at Paris, not the boat.
