Seeking tips for MAN-SEV-PARIS travel
Hello,
I'd love some frugal tips on how to plan a short Spain visit. I need to:
Travel from Manchester to Seville to arrive by the morning of May 17. (Flights are very expensive and lengthy ... I would consider landing in Madrid and traveling by car or rail; or leaving from Manchester 1 day earlier, or?).
See the sights of Andalucia (possibly in a rental car?)
Depart from Paris on the afternoon of May 27 (Int'l flight).
I'm joining others traveling from elsewhere, so I need to be in Seville by MAY17 morning.
My goal is to maximize my time in Andalucia - so any help on how to get there and get from there to Paris would be great. It's a combination I bought from Iceland Air (BOS-KEF-MAN CDG-JFK) when I wasn't sure where I'd travel between MAN and PARIS.

Fly Ryanair direct from Liverpool to Seville. There's an hourly bus from the centre of Manchester to Liverpool Airport for £7. http://www.terravision.eu/liverpool_manchester.html On May 17 (0650 - 1045), the air fare is £35 plus any checked luggage (special offer). Book on www.ryanair.com. Seville to Paris is covered by several budget airlines like Vueling, Air Europa and Transvia (to Orly). Allow several hours for ground transportation to CDG (bus or train/metro), or stay the night in Paris.

You can use brokers like Auto Europe and Kemwell (good for one-way rental to Madrid) or local firms like http://en.aurigacrown.com/

The great tips I've gotten (thanks, Alec) are encouraging more postings - This is a bit general and might lead to eye rolling, advanced apologies.
My mom leaves Seville on May 26 morning; I leave from CDG on May 27 @ 2pm. She insists I must 'see' Paris, if only for less than 24 hours (after seeing her off in Seville). I realize I can't appreciate Paris as a 'lay over', but moms being moms ...
I can't get a 'cheap' Transavia flight ($60) until the evening of the 26th - leaving virtually no daylight hours in Paris. I'm tempted to make my way by rail to CDG from Seville and enjoy the sights by train. But the RailEurope site says the train tickets are sold out? Could be.
Opinions on spending $$ ($184) for a flight to get to Paris for a quick visit, or? Might be my only option if the rail doesn't pan out.

Posted too soon - found a Vueling flight for $123 which will be the best bet if I'm to 'do' Paris
But if you have a dream way to spend 24 hours in Paris as a new but unemployed graduate w/ backpack, do tell. Including lodging for a 38 yr old maybe near CDG?
And if you wish to say it's stupid, I kinda know that, but thanks for the confirmation.
