Seeking suggestions for sleeping in Chianti region

Looking for advice from anyone who has spent a night or two in Chianti region. We have 2 nites in Tuscany and would like to spend one of them in a farmhouse or vineyard. Any suggestions on where to look is appreciated.

Mike: look on this forum under Tuscany. Also check out past hosted forums---last spring there was a nice hosted forum on Tuscany and lots of information. Also, use your favorite search engine and look for Chianti or agroturismo. Good luck!

We stayed at Villa Casalecchi in Castellina in May and loved it. It was beautiful.

Check out Villa Vignamaggio at www.vignamaggio.com. This is just outside Greve in Chianti. Also look under "past hosted forums" on fodor's homepage and pull up "Escape to Tuscany" by Candace Gianetti for her colorful descriptions of this and other places. We stayed here in March and enjoyed it...a good base to explore other areas. Have a great trip!

Mike: Just got back yesterday! Highly recommend Villa Vignamaggio! Great accomodations and excellent central location for just about everything! The view is spectacular. Added perk for me is that they had a great gym with a terrific view! The town center of Greve is just minutes away. Enjoy!!
