We have from 5 to 7 nights we can spend in Tuscany over and above our nights we already have planned for Florence and Montalcino. If you have had some very pleasant experiences at B&Bs or agriturismos in the provinces in Tuscany that are above shown, please provide such information as you can for our evaluation.

Spend time at slowtrav.com and look at their reviews by region. Do not miss La Saracina in the process.

We stayed at a great Agriturismo in Tuscany two years ago. If I recall correctly it was about 1/2 hr. drive from Siena.

The rooms were large, spotless and the food was the best we had in Italy.

I could not recommend Podere Bagnolo near Buonconvento more strongly.

The views are great, the rooms are period and stylish. Lucia and Antonio are the best hosts you could ever imagine. They both give the air they they have never had to worry about anything in their lives. We paid for room only but the stay vertually ended up as all inclusive - we had complimentary breakfast, lunchs, ice/tea and buns to tea and evening meals. The general open house policy was "we are having a party do you want to join us". Throw in batty Grandma who will tell you stories of the war and this is pure theatre. (she is still not sure of German visitors).

ps no one speaks English so a bit of Italian goes a long way.
