See snow from train in April?

Is there a train ride from the Riviera to Paris that would pass snow mountains?

IM - From the French Riviera? No.

From the Italian Riviera? Yes. You can go via Turin and Bardonecchia or via Milan through Switzerland.

Hope this helps ...

Not unless you take a detour through the Alps. If it's early April, you will probably see snow-topped mountains above Nice.

Islandmom; if you are going to be on the Riviera in April, you really don't have to worry about topless sunbathing either; it nearly always far too cold for that.

The topless sunbathing post was blocked so I'll respond here -

I wasn't there 10 years ago, but last May the topless bathers on the beach in Cannes did so discreetly. No one was parading up and down the sidewalks or streets topless - and definitely not in cafes. I considered it - but was afraid of sunburn!
