Secret Scotland

Does anyone have experience with the itineraries from Secret Scotland? I could only find one post from 2008.
Their sample one looks very detailed. If it would save me countless hours planning it would be worth it.
Must be getting lazy in my old age....

I've tried Secret Scotland before with no luck but have found scotlandmadeeasy.co.uk which is a similar site. They found the perfect itinerary for us -helpful, very good communication, understood our needs, were even able to speak French with me. We travelled to Edinburgh,Nairn & Ullapool. It was a wonderful trip. We definitely recommmend them.
Good luck!

Hello Marie Claire Delaney, we've searched all through our sales history and our emails and can't find any record of correspondence with you. What was your problem with our service and which product did you buy?

Regards
Mike from Secret Scotland

Hi. I emailed Secret Scotland last week and got a reply back immediately. I have been having some great conversations with them and they are now working on my 2014 Scotland trip.

I tried your site a couple of years ago either from France or England & simply could not download any information and couldn't get in touch with you.

I used SS a few years ago and had a wonderful trip. They made the whole planning process almost stress free.

Thanks all for the replies.
I too Mike was a bit suspicious about Marie Clarie's response; it was her first reponse and she is a new member. Probably just trying to plug the product she mentioned in her post

peterrad: The responses from Denning218, Secret Scotland and MarieClaire all appeared to be 'one-time wonders'. Denning and Secret Scotland advertising the one tour company, and Marie Claire advertising a different tour company. All registered this morning. It looks like the editors removed all of them.

I'd avoid both companies myself.

BTW -arranging your own itinerary for Scotland is very easy. Doesn't take 'countless hours'.

You have a lot of people here that can help you plan your itinerary for free. I used their site for some inspiration, but I also got a copy of a 'Driving Tours of Scotland' book and heavily used the Undiscovered Scotland website to flesh out where I was going. I don't remember which book I had - probably one of the Frommer's guides. I think I actually used Undiscovered Scotland the most.

I thought the countless hours of planning was part of the fun.

You can do better here than on a tour or organised trip, for sure. We are EXPERTS!!

Thanks guys. I'll try to do it. If I could do China....

I am French & live in London. Months ago my husband & I tried to download an itinerary for a trip to Scotland via the Secret Scotland website, however it wouldn't download so we gave up. We then found Scotland Made Easy who also do itineraries. So we used them instead & were pleased. We are thinking of going back to Scotland to other areas which we didn't visit & wanted some other advice. We found the Fodor's travel site & forum so I joined recently. I then saw a comment about Secret Scotland which I see has been removed!

I meant to say that I put on a comment which I see has been removed
