Secret London hotel on lastminute

Anyone recognize this hotel which is offered on lastminute.com? Thanks so much for help.
Hotel is described as
"Exclusive offer at Fabulous 4* deluxe in London
This famous London hotel completed a major £30million refurbishment program and was re-launched in Spring 2002 as one of London's leading 4 star deluxe hotels." It also has a restaurant which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine.

From www.hilton.com:

The Waldorf Hilton enjoys one of London's most enviable locations as it bridges the West End and the Square Mile, providing an excellent base for accessing the main financial district in the day and the popular cultural hub of Covent Garden and Theatreland in the evening. Nearing the completion of a £30 million refurbishment programme, the hotel reflects its magnificent historical past whilst offering a brand new inspirational design in a classic setting, incorporated into all public areas, accommodation, meeting and event facilities....

definitely the melia white house, i'd say (this from their website - http://www.solmelia.com/sol/hoteles/...?idSolRes=6302)

"Meliá White House **** SUPERIOR
Hotel London, GREAT BRITAIN. This famous London hotel has completed a major £30 Million refurbishment program and was re-launched in Spring 2002 as one of London's leading 4 star deluxe hotels"

Now that I think about it, I believe that VickiH's find may be the correct one. The Waldorf Hilton was re-opened last year or 2003 at the earliest.

Thank you VickiH and AAFrequent Flyer. It would seem you were right except that melia white house was also listed on the site, but with standard rooms only. Strange. We ended up finding a better deal on BA-Holidays, the Millenium Gloucester for $176 a night including breakfast.

Funny - I lived in London for 10 years & I've never heard of the "famous" Melia White House. Is this a serious gap in my education or is is not actually all that famous ? :-)

I'm with you on this one Caroline. Never heard of it.
