Secret Itineraries Tour Ticket Question

Hi!

I've been trying to purchase tickets to the Secret Itineraries Tour at the Doges Palace in Venice for the past three months through this website -

http://www.museiciviciveneziani.it/f...;tit=biglietti

The site states that if the page on the calendar is blank, no tickets are available for that date. The page has been blank since August. At first I thought I was trying to purchase the tickets too soon, but the page is still blank. Is this tour not operating in November? We were hoping to take this tour sometime between November 9-14.

Do you have a hotel in Venice already? Can you ask them to reserve for you?

The website says that bookings are accepted up to 15 days before your visit. I booked the week before I left and had not problem getting the time and date that I wanted.

Our hotel sent us the same link (http://www.museiciviciveneziani.it/f...ione=biglietti) to reserve tickets. And they also gave me this number for them. +39 041 520 90 70. If you can, call them!

But if this helps at all, we booked our tickets two weeks in advance as well. So maybe you could wait until 15 days before.

Hi SC,

You have the proper website and phone number.

If you book by phone, you won't be charged unless you go on the tour.

Hi foodie,

I seem to remember having the same problem.

I think if you wait another week or so, you'll find that the week you want comes up. alternatively, there may not be any tours during that week. if so, you won't be able to go anyway!

another tip is to turn up for the last entry of the day - we got to the accademia about an hour before it shut and got in without any queue at all.

have a great trip,

regards, ann

This won't work for the Secret Itineraries tour. It is a special tour and there are only a few English-language tours per day.

Thanks to everyone for your replies! I will wait until fifteen days out and then try again. If that fails, I'll ask the B&B to make the reservations for us.

Hmm...I was able to book and confirm my reservation for the tour on Oct. 31 this past July 23. The 9:55A tour in English was sold out, so I had to book the 10:45A tour. I did it all online.
