Seascape Sail in Turkey - Question for Laurie Ann
I see you recommended Seascape Sailing in Turkey - I'm checking into one of their trips there. My husband wonders how it would be to be on a boat with such a small group for a week - what did you think? Could you give me a little feel of how a day worked - I know they sail for 3-5 hours and then what did you do most days? Did you see many ruins? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I am going to jump on this post. I am planning a trip in Oct. to turkey/greece was considering the windstar cruise but this looks way more up my husbands alley. Not sure if it's up mine or not. Would love to hear how this worked as well. I want to see things not just sail and lounge. When are you going belgazou?

DOn't know about Turkey, but I've been doing some research on Seascape too and found a couple on Tripadvisor. Here's one http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic...ng-Greece.html

Hello there! We are back from our sailing trip and it was pretty much the best vacation we have ever had. We loved every minute.
We sailed about 4 hours a day, then spent the rest of the day exploring the ports - some were tiny (1 taverna with 42 residents on the entire island) and some were bigger, one with a 5 star spa on the beach!
Bikerscott will be writing a trip report and we have tonnes of pics to post as well.
If anyone has any questions we would be happy to answer them!

I can hardly wait to read your trip report and see your pics! We're going on a one week trip with them in Turkey in October. I'm hoping it's still warm enough to swim. Is there anything you didn't pack that you wished you'd taken?

How exciting!! If you get Ben as your skipper be sure to tell him Jamie and Scott say hi!!
Things we were so glad to have packed:
Swimsuits - you will live in them
Waterproof camera
Sunscreen - it is €20 for a small bottle!
Body shop body butter and strong lip balm - everything will be dry
A waterproof shell as you will get sprayed and it can be cold
A sweatshirt and light trousers for night
A couple t shirts
A couple pairs of shorts
Toiletries
Underwear
Flip flops
Honestly this is all you need. Bring a small duffel bag!!! Do not bring a suitcase, there is NO room for them!
You should be able to swim in turkey in oct...apparently the sea is quite warm there!
The skippers would really like little treats they can't get in Greece - chocolates, DVDs you don't want anymore etc.
Not sure when Scott will have time for writing so here are my pics to give you an idea of what you can expect: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=0356d3f9a0
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for all the info Jamie. I've read about not packing much so we'll leave a suitcase in Istanbul that we'll pick up on our way home and just take the stuff you mentioned in a duffel bag. I hadn't thought about a waterproof camera so glad you mentioned it!
We'll say hi to Ben if he's our skipper. And we'll bring some treats for them!
Your pics are great - thanks so much for the link. It looks like a fun trip and those little villages and bays are so picturesque.
We're getting excited for our trip!
