Search for Geocaching in Europe

Hi everyone,

I'm planning with my group of student friends to visit Europe this summer. It'll be kind of backpacking tour between friends but we love that. We heard about the game Geocaching in Europe lately, especially in France, we would like to know if anyone, has known a place where the game is well known ? In a town or two ? Because, finding an old object (cach) dated up to 3 years is not very interesting.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Have you tried searching in French?

Geocaching is pretty popular here in the Netherlands and we saw a couple of places in the UK too that had geocaching.
Your best bet is to do an internet search for the countries you are visiting. Certainly here in NL most are in the countryside. In the UK we saw it at National Trust properties.

I saw it in this travel blog http://www.escapade-vacances.com/blog/meymac. But it's in French, not knowing if you speack French or not. Try this too http://www.terra-aventura.fr/
the website about this game is also in English, that should help.Have fun with your friends.
