Search engine for flights outside of the US

Hi, all. I'm trying to find economical flights for travel between Spain and Latin America. Are there any search engines for that? I live in the US and I'm used to using Orbitz and Expedia. Thanks.

I'm not sure that it's the lowest of sites but I do know that onetravel.com (aka cheapseats.com) will quote trips that do not involve starting or ending in the U.S.

Expedia.com will work for flights that originate outside of the US. Also try itasoftware.com.

I am not sure for flights originating in Latin america, but (perhaps) for flights originating in Spain, try www.opodo.com or www.opodo.co.uk

Best wishes,

Rex

You might try ebookers.com as well

I have been looking at flights between Milan and Barcelona and www.cheaptickets.com has flights. Don't kow about Spain to Latin America though but you might give it a try. They seem to have flights expedia and orbitz don't.

I would highly recommend that you take a multi-pronged approach for flights not originating in the US.

While I've never booked travel from Europe to Latin America, I live in China so travel a couple of times a year to and from Asia, Europe, and the US, and within those areas, and I find cheaper flights OFFLINE 90% of the time.

I usually check online first (cheaptickets, opodo, travelocity), primarily to get the range of prices and the airlines.

Honestly, sometimes I have been just APPALLED at the prices online, even on those sites. Travelocity seems to be the worst for China-originating flights - even though they have all the same airlines I can check here, the prices (even when searching with NO DATES for the best prices available) are literally DOUBLE what I can get calling a travel agent.

Good luck!

Then I call or e-mail a travel agent in the originating country, who are usually able to find flights for well under the online rates. I also call the airlines and check their websites (some airlines have their best deals online, for some, like United for China-US flights, the online "special" rate is almost double what you can get if you call directly).

I'm not entirely sure, but my experience has been that it's easier to find online deals for flights in and out of the US
