We enjoyed this small restaurant:
Navigator (Le)
63 rue Galande 75005 PARIS
01 43 54 35 86
Mostly French were eating there. Some tables were very small but there were booths. Order the price fix with the carafe of wine.
I have never eaten at Fish but they must have seafood. Or maybe its just that they are in an old fishmonger shop.

Hi All!
Just wanted to report w/feedback:
We ate at:
FISH LA BOISSONNERIE
69, rue du Seine, Paris 6
Telephone: 01 43 54 34 69
and LOVED it!! It's one of our favorite new places to go. It seems to be packed every night so reservations are a must. One of the reasons we loved this restaurant so much, not only because of the food but, it's packed with locals so that's usually a sign of a good spot. Fish is a casual place where the food is simply prepared, extremely fresh and delicious. The waitstaff are very pleasant and helpful even if you don't speak French!
My husband had salmon and I had seabass--both were extremely fresh and perfectly cooked. Our friend had some sort of beef, I can't remember what it was, but he said it was fabulous! Fish also has a decent wine list as well. If you're looking for casual dining with very good food, no brains or intestines--- this would be a terrific option!
Bon Appetite!

Bigal, has to be more than 10 years ago that Petit Zinc was on rue Buci. We were there then and it was on rue Benoit.
Reading these Paris threads today is really making me feel like going to France ...soon!

ILUVPARIS, that's a real gem and the wine list is wonderful. The reason is the relationship between Fish La Boissonerie and La Derniere Goutte, a lovely little wine shop just a short walk away. (If you look closely at the word "Boissonnerie" on the front of the building, you can almost see how it was creatively altered from its former "Poissonnerie" when the place was a fish market.)
Here's a link for others to see the front of the building:

A good catch for you!

We ate at Le Dome last week and loved it. It's a lovely old place and they have a non-smoking area. That said.....naturally as it would happen, there was a table of 4 cigar smokers just down the steps who never put out their cigars.
Aside from that distraction, I had the best Dover sole meuniere I've ever had. Hubby had the lobster salad and it was truly outstanding. I had the Soup de Poisson as a first course and it was one of the better ones I've had.
Lasst year we ate at Maruius & Janette and didn't think it worth the 2 *'s.
Petit Zinc was a favorite of ours for many years but after it was taken over by the Flo group, it sort of lost its luster for us.

Goumard, 9 rue Duphot, is a one star in the first eme. Last time we had a crab soup to die for, smoked Salmon and two versions of Dover sole; we tried each. They have a prix-fixe menu at 46E but there are no options. Tables widely spaced, few, if any, tourists and it is open on Sunday! Worth a try!

My favorite casual seafood places are Le Bistro du Dome on rue Delambre in the 14th and Les Fables de la Fontaine on St. Dominique in the 7th. My all time high end favorite for classical seafood is Le Divellec in the 7th looking over the Esplanade des Invalides.
