Scrapbook Store in Paris?

I tried to post this earlier, but haven't seen it - apologies if it is a duplicate. I am looking for a scrapbook store in Paris or a shop that sells scrapbook supplies -- stickers, papers, rubber stamps, die cuts, etc. There used to be a shop in the Carousel du Louvre, but it was gone last time we visited. Thanks in advance.

Hey Elena!

I can't answer your question, but how funny to find another scrapbooker on this site! I hadn't even thought of finding scrapbook stores on my trip to Europe. I'll be interested in seeing what you find out.

Cindy

Does anyone know of any good scrapbooking stores in Europe? I'd love to find a fun store while on my travels.

I don't know if making scrapbooks the way they do in some of the states is such a big hobby in Europe.Look online at American suppliers and see if there are any in other countries.

I 'scrapbook' my travel photos, best way to take the trip again and again. I save all my stubs, brochures, tickets, maps, etc. Last time, I bought some old sheet music that had lyrics in French, and used that as 'background' paper. Also get extra maps, and use them for background. I realize these are not 'acid-free' but less concerned about this for trip pix (as opposed to heritage/family pix). This does not tell you where to find a scrapbook store, but at least you might find some cool things at the flea mkt..

I don't know of a scrapbook store per se, but some of the best scrapbook supplies come from a French company (see www.canson-us.com for their american site; the French site is under construction). Additionally, I found several albums, paper, stamps, and stickers, at La Samaritaine, the department store in the 1e.

Great idea about the music sheets!

Okay, here goes:

Galeries Lafayette and Printemps both have great stickers and scrapbooks in their paper/office supply/greeting card departments. They also have selections of rubber stamps - they are near the pens and inks area.

The Marais is famous for its stationery stores, and I stumbled upon several shops with wonderful paper and scrapbooks made out of that paper.

In the Viaduc des Artistes is a shop called N'O (play on Musee d'Orsay abbreviation) with incredible papers and all sorts of fun scrapbooks (BTW, if you like corny and cheezy, you'll have a problem finding those).

BHV had some scrapbooks, too, not a lot of choice but heck they were on sale. Monoprix had a few. Virtually any stationery store (Latin Quarter has a bunch of them) has blank books, some that'll make great scrapbooks.

No, I've never seen "scrapbook" store - apparently, the Parisians don't need instructions on how to put a scrapbook together.

In Bellagio and in Venice, we found stores with handmade papers and leatherbound books (for whoever asked about Europe).

Thanks for the store advice Elvira!

I've never had much luck finding stickers and such in Europe. But I just keep all of my ticket stubs, pub coasters, play brochures, etc. and use them in my scrapbook in lieu of stickers.

I just came a website advertising scrapbooking cruises. But unfortunately none to Europe. Imagine seeing Europe by day and scrapbooking by night.
