Thanks Danna, this is the type of obscure message that has a very limited "answer pool". Actually the teenagers are great. They have traveled to many places around the world and are great companions. They learn and retain so much from these trips. I started them traveling on 18 hr flights and 30 hour flights at 3 months old.

Seeing that you asked....
8 hrs Chicago to London, 12 hr layover, 13 and 1/2 hrs London to Johannesburg. and before you ask why, International sanctions prevented direct flights from USA to South Africa and sanctions prevented South African Airways flights from flying in airpace over most African countries , so flights went around the bulge of Africa.
If I am off by an hour or so on the length of flights on different segments, this was 16 years ago so don't castigate me for a poor memory.
Now that I have answered everyone's questions, can we get back to mine?

I haven't been, and, indeed, I've never heard of it, which I think says something.
However, the Thistle brand is a good one, and Bill Torrance, named on tehir web site, is a class act. Give it a go, I say. these things are always a bit cheesey, but it could be ideal for a group

Waverley, if Sheila says give it a go, that's the answer! Can't wait to hear about your trip. I remember having to make my (then) teenager sit upright to see Yellowstone Park, and I like her (and other teens.) I think she still holds it against us for going to Maui when she was 3 and can't remember it. Have a grand time!
