Scotland to Amsterdam

Is there a ferry you can take from Scotland to Amsterdam?

I don't think so, but you can from Newcastle.

You can take one from Rosyth (Edinburgh) to Zeebrugge (Brugge) , in Belgium.

Thanks, I'll check that out.

There are lots of direct flights, tho'

There are only three sailings a week from Rosyth to Zeebrugge, and it takes 20 hours!

The ferry from Newcastle to Ijmuiden is an overnight ferry and you must book a cabin. Even that route take over 16 hours though, and you have to get from Ijmuiden to Amsterdam.

There are lots of flights between Scotland and Amsterdam. they take about an hour, 90 minutes.

EasyJet flies from Edinburgh - Amsterdam for under e50.00 one way. There is a charge for baggage but if booked online it is cheaper.
