Scotland, Ireland, or Iceland

I was looking that these three very beautiful, different, and amazing places and was wondering which one would be a good place to go if I only have one week or about 8 nights. My friend and i love to hike, see mountains, sightsee, and try out of the way places. Can anyone help us find a good place to visit in the Spring of 1999. Neither of us have been to any of these places and would like to find out about some out of the way places to go see castles (in Scotland or Ireland) or volcanos (in Iceland). In Ireland, I would also like to know where I could find a few of the houses built by the Celtic people. Are there any castles that we can stay in while we are visiting Scotland or Ireland.

Thank you for your help. Have a good day.

You can find a listing of all of the castles in Scotland and links to those where you can stay at
http://ourworld.compuserve.com The site is called
The Internet Guide to Scotland and I found it very useful in planning our trip.
