Scotland in December

We will be visiting Scotland for 5 days in early December. I would appreciate any suggestions as to where to go, weather , etc.. Thanjs

Any particular reason you are gong there - in early Dec? The weather could be OK or awful and the days will be very short. It is not a time to be driving around in the Highlands or Islands. So with 5 days stick to Edinburgh, or Edinburgh and a couple of days in Glasgow.

Hi Janisj,

We planned to go to London for 10 days, 11/29 - 12/10, and thought maybe we could go to Edinburgh for a few of those days...just wondering if it's worth it..

Going to Edinburgh in December is different from going to Scotland. Edinburgh in December has it's various Christmas events

I agree -- - If ou just want to go to Edinburgh for a couple of days - sure. But that should not be confused w/ going to 'Scotland'.

Your OP didn't include the info from your other thread - that this is really a trip to London and you are merely wondering if you should try to include Edinburgh.

My first post was based just on the minimal info in this OP. Hard to give useful advice based on a fraction of the background . . .
