Scotland by train or car
 
Would it be better for 4 people to see some of the key sights in Scotland by train or car for 13 nights? We would fly into Edinburgh from Ireland.

By far IMO - you can see more, more effectively, and actually cheaper for four - by car.

Much of the most scenic bits are not accessible by train.

Train routes too constraining. YOu can build something round it, but nothing like as flexible as driving

Car!!!

There are SOOO many sights to pull over to see! I may also have a trip report too. It is from about 6 years ago though.
