Thank you! Is it too much to do the Aran island ferry, cliffs and Burren in a day? Thinking yes

I'm not good on B&Bs. If I were looking for an Inn in Edinburgh, I'd stay in South Queensferry at the Hawes Inn. Read "Kidnapped". But it's not handy for anywhere but South Queensferry.

I actually like South Queensferry if one is flying in and out of EDI. It's nice and low-key compared to going into the city, especially if one is jetlagged. However the last couple of times I've stayed at the Dakota - a rather sleek and new hotel which now has a free airport shuttle. http://www.dakotahotels.co.uk/hotels/edinburgh/

It's very comfortable, surprisingly affordable, and one can shuttle to the airport and use the tram into Edinburgh, making it very convenient too.

Thanks for the suggestions gardyloo but we won't be there long so I think we'd rather stay in the city.

No, not if you don't spend the whole day exploring Inis Oirr. A lot of sun light that month.

The Combi cruise can give you a couple of hours on Inis Oirr and then tie in the Cliffs cruise before landing back in Doolin https://www.obrienline.com/aran-isla...ombined-tours/ http://travelhag.com/2013/04/15/inis-oirr-aranislands/
