"How can one not be addicted ?" The weather :-)

Struggling to eliminate places I really, really want to see in Scotlan! Orkney Islands (Skara Brae, Ring of Brodgar, etc) are up there... high on the list, but quite a detour. Is it worth giving up 2 days for? I realize it's subjective, but... If we go, expect to travel by car from Nairn in the am, 12 car ferry from Scrabster, afternoon & overnight on Orkney, then most of the following day there, with late afternoon ferry back to Scrabster, and return to Nairn next nite. Too ambitious for 1st trip to Scotland or is it not to be missed? Help, please! Thanks - Laura

Laura, you might get more responses if you post your question as a new thread, titled something like "Struggling with proposed Scotland itinerary". When you post, select "United Kingdom" on the drop down menu for greater chance that people will see your question. Information you will want to include: how many days you have in Scotland excluding travel days, what time of year you will be visiting, and what places you plan to see (or would like to fit in!)
