Scotland

I am going to Scotland shortly and we are staying in Edinburgh. I know what we want to do in Edinburgh. What would anyone suggest you go visit that is outside of Edinburg. What other parts of Scotland are a must see? Thanks, Kags

HOw long are you going to be in Scotland? Are you looking for day trips, or to travel around the country?

Scotland is a very big place. W/o knowing more about what sorts of things you want to see, if you plan on driving or using trains, and how long your trip it - it is really impossible to make useful recommendations.

(Pretty much all of Scotland is full of "must sees" so unless you have several weeks you will have to limit yourselves to just a small part.)

Plus some folk have asked about Scotland before so there is a raft of information already there waiting to be read

What kind of activities interest you? Do you golf? Have you heard of St Andrews? That would make a nice day trip.

What about ruined castles? Here's a good one near Edinburgh:

Like small towns? Take a train down to North Berwick on the coast for a pub lunch and a change of scene.
