Does anyone know where the great William Wallace is buried? Thought that might be cool to see...

Al Q Jul 8th, 2002 08:07 AM

probably buried with Osama bin Laden.

If you saw the movie "Braveheart" you will remember that William Wallace was "hung, drawn & quartered".
His body parts were buried in Newcastle, Stirling, Berwick & Perth.
There is a monument dedicated to him in Stirling. Also Robert the Bruce is buried at Melrose Abbey.

Not to be picky, but PLEASE don't take "Braveheart" as history.

And it's Bruce's heart that's at Melrose. The rest of him is at Dunfermilne Abbey

I stand corrected Shiela. my apologies.
I think everyone knows that "Braveheart" is more "Hollywood" than truth. You just have to read the history books to sort out the truth.
