Scone Palace & Falkland Place -- how much time?
We will be based in Crail, Fife in a few weeks for 4 nights. I have a day allocated to these two palaces. Scone is a bit farther away but higher on my priority list. Is it possible to visit both in one day? Any general guidance on how much time to allow?
I could plan to pick up on of them on our way back through when returning back to England (Scone is the least out of the way for that).
Perhaps I should aim for Scone and visit the Falkland Palace if time allows. If not, pick it up later.
Thoughts?

Scone Palace doesn't look like one's image of a palace, but it is famous nevertheless.
The UK's throning stone is there. Moot (Boot) Hill is also interesting.
Total time, maybe 2 or 2 1/2 hours with a tour.
I have Scone Palace on my list to return to this summer.
