SCNF phone numbers for English speakers

Can someone tell me the phone number to ask the SNCF questions in English about placing orders for tickets?

I just looked at the SNCF site, and searched but nothing in the way of telephone numbers rises on the screen.

I have bought before, but I always collected my tickets in France.
This time, the situation is different.

Do you really need to know in order to answer the question?

Phone number depends on where he's calling from. From outside France you drop the "0" at the beginning, so, assuming the basic number is correct

011 33 8 92 35 35 39

From within France it is

08 92 35 35 39

I will be calling from the US of A.
I sometimes call friends in Europe, so the 011 bit I know. I usually use a dial around, too, after shopping for rates.

The situation this time is I am trying to help plan a trip for someone who has not travelled much outside of a small area.

Hi bob,

You can spend time and money talking to the SNCF people or you can let us help you with your real problem.

That's why I asked.

>...I am trying to help plan a trip for someone who has not travelled much outside of a small area.<

They can have their tickets mailed to their hotel in Europe.

Am I right?

Booking a train for my last year's trip, I ordered the tickets over the phone and they arrived in the mail a couple of weeks later.
