Schipol Airport purchasing SIM card

Dear All, I purchased an unlocked quad band phone for my upcoming trip to Europe.

I'd like to ideally purchase a SIM card as soon as I get to Schipol.

Is there a certain company that you recommend? Or a store that I can find at the airport? I will be arriving at 7 AM, so maybe stores will not be open then. IS it better to buy a SIM card in the city?

Thank you for your help!

Saira

Lots of stores at Schiphol both inside Customs in the arrivals areas - zillions of shops and also outside - open at 7 am probably inside many are as they only have one shot at you but not sure!

Here's at least one that says they open at 7 am and sell SIM cards.

The link refers to landside shops, so after immigration and customs. There are also plenty of shops before immigration.
If you wait until you get to the city you will find telecoms shops all over the place. Other shops like Albert Heijn supermarkets and Hema also have them.

supermarkets and department stores like Albert Heijn and Hema - both with several locations strewn around the town center, may have significantly cheaper prices or not?

On arrival you will not be allowed to buy anything until you have cleared Customs.

ah yeh it's duty-free inside, at least in theory!
