Schiphol Amsterdam
 

I'm new at this....Anyone know how far it is from Schiphol Airport to the Cruise Ship Terminal? Will a cab be expensive? Any other ideas? Are there shuttle buses provided by the Cruise Lines?

The cruise ship port is behind Amsterdam Central train station. From the airport, it's a 15 minute ride to the Amsterdam central. Trains depart every 15 minutes or so. I don't know about shuttles. Hope this helps.

You'll have luggage, right? I would take a taxi if your cruiseline does not provide a shuttle service. To find this out, I would ask your cruiseline.

I think the convenient yet economical way would be to take the train to Centraal Station and then a taxi to Passenger Terminal Amsterdam. It's only about a 10 minute walk from CS but not easy with luggage and all the construction going on. Taxi alone might be 50 Euros, train and taxi 10 Euros.

It would be easier to answer this question if we had an idea of how much luggage Mrs. Paw will have with her. How many people traveling? How many bags?
